Black Mountain Tailgate Market is a seasonal community event featuring organic and sustainably grown produce, plants, cut flowers, herbs, locally raised meats, seafood, breads, pastries, cheeses, eggs and locally handcrafted items. Every Saturday from May through November we gather with the intent of supporting our local farmers and artisans, and cultivating a sense of community. _x000d_ The goal of the Black Mountain Tailgate Market is to continue to grow, nourish, and inspire community by bringing together farms, local businesses, families and organizations to encourage investment in the ecological and economic movement of “buying local.”

We're located at 130 Montreat Rd., in a leased greenspace on the premises of the First Baptist Church. In the Autumn, the Maple and Oak trees provide a vibrant backdrop for our bustling market. The premises are mixed terrain - Concrete, mulch, and green grass - and in the Summer, most of the market is shaded. _x000d_ From Black Mountain Town Square, we're just a two-block stroll North on Montreat Rd. _x000d_
